The wall sculpture lights up whenever someone tweets a sparkle emoji and a supernova in the universe simultaneously occur. An emoji is a small digital image or icon used to express an idea, emotion, etc., in electronic communication. The sparkle emoji is often added at the conclusion or beginning of statements to indicate the statement is full of truth, wonder, existential reflection, or discussing something new. A supernova is an astronomical explosion that occurs when a star has reached the end of its life. Resulting in brilliant explosion of light, that can briefly outshine entire galaxies and radiate more energy than our sun will in it's entire lifetime.The sculpture's erratic light is a physical manifestation of these digital and physical stars twinkling. Presenting similar events on proportionally different scales to examine the vastness, wonder and truth within an star's explosive death, and that of a tweet. And the seeming magic of quantified data.
