HYBRIDITY: or Animalistic Becomings and Un-Becomings, 201720 Minute Film,
On Earth Purell-ed human-animal hybridization has transitioned into normalcy. Hybridity is a social experiment amalgamation fixed through the constraint of animal costumes.
Scripted and improvised, the film follows Tiger and Squirrel a pair of collaged hybrids embodied by over 20 performers. Each scene brings two strangers together in animal suits. Using general guidelines, the strangers enact their interpretation of the guidelines and some version of the themselves.
In this excerpt Squirrel and Tiger are shooting an ‘unlikely animal friends’ video, like the ones popular on youtube.
